Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking qualified individuals who would fill full time Mechanical Engineer positions in our Virginia Beach or Richmond offices.  The applicant shall have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and have an understanding of the consulting engineering industry.  The applicant will be involved in the design of mechanical systems for a wide variety of federal, state, municipal, and private sector facilities and will also perform field investigation and construction administration for assigned projects.  Project types include but are not limited to: office buildings, retail buildings, restaurants, hospitals and other medical facilities, DoD/Military facilities, entertainment venues, museums, libraries, schools, higher education facilities, and multifamily buildings.  The applicant shall demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT software, Microsoft Office, Trane Trace HVAC load calculation software, as well as demonstrate experience with mechanical system selection and possess a knowledge of applicable building codes.  An Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred, and a Professional Engineering (PE) license is desirable, as well as additional discipline specific certifications or registrations, such as LEED AP BD+C, CEM, CxA, BEMP, or HFDP.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Engineering Technology)
* Professional Engineers (PE) License is desirable
* Engineer in Training (EIT) License is a preferred
* Proficiency with AutoCAD / Revit Software
* Proficiency with Trane Trace or HAP commercial HVAC load software.
* Ability to express understanding of HVAC load software
* Experience or understanding of the consulting engineering industry
