Waterside District
Norfolk, Virginia
PACE Collaborative recently provided the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering and Drafting Services for the rehabilitation of the existing Waterside Marketplace building in Norfolk, Virginia.
The western portion of the existing building was demolished returning the building to its original footprint and the remainder of the building was revitalized with 14 different bars and restaurants, turning it into now what is called Waterside District. The revitalization included the complete replacement of the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems with energy efficient systems structured such that each tenant can be independently metered.
The replacement included:
* Interior plumbing systems to five feet outside of the building
* Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
* Electrical service, power distribution, and general power systems
* Raceway and outlet box systems for telephone/data, closed circuit television, security access control, and other low voltage systems
* Fire alarm systems
