We are seeking a qualified individual that would fill a staff designer/engineer level position in our Virginia Beach office.
The applicant will be involved in the design of Plumbing systems for various types of federal, state, municipal, and private sector facilities. Examples include but are not limited to office buildings, retail buildings, restaurants, manufacturing facilities, hospitals and other medical facilities, entertainment venues, museums, libraries, schools, higher education facilities, and multifamily buildings.
The applicant shall possess experience and understanding of the consulting engineering industry, shall demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT software (REVIT preferred), Microsoft Office, and an understanding of the plumbing code (IPC). Industry certifications are preferred, but PACE is willing to assist those with the desire to learn towards achieving the ASPE CPD certification.
The designer will work directly with an engineer to develop plans and specifications for the construction of plumbing systems. Other responsibilities include field investigation, code research, and working with clients and other disciplines in our office.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Plumbing design experience
- Med Gas design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or REVIT design software
- Industry certifications for plumbing design (ASPE, CPD) preferred
- Ability to describe plumbing systems and answer code related questions
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with education, credentials, experience, and abilities, and may be structured as either an hourly or salaried position, with a range of $20/hour to $100,000 annually.
