PACE engineers are providing the mechanical and electrical engineering services for a new Headquarters Office Building and an addition to the Manufacturing facility for Plasser American’s operations located in Chesapeake, VA. The design of Paint Booths and a Storage Canopy are also included. The new 3-story, 45,000 square foot office features a two-story lobby, enclosed / open offices, flexible shared conference rooms and a photovoltaic array for sustainability.

The Manufacturing Facility, Paint Booths, and Storage Canopy are still very early in the planning stages.

The integration of the mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems for the Office Building was modeled by our virtual construction team during the design process to coordinate with civil, structural, and architectural components. Occupant thermal comfort is provided by a 30,000 cfm roof top variable air handler with numerous fan powered and shut off terminal units for ideal controllability. The electrical service consists of a 1200-amp, 480/277-volt, 3-phase, 4-wire Main Distribution Panelboard. A 50 KW natural gas generator was provided to back up the IT loads as well as a few key areas. The building utilizes 100% LED lighting and operates on state-of-the-art lighting controls.
